What Is Skin Rejuvenation?
As a person’s body ages, the skin begins to show signs of aging, such as wrinkles, a loss in firmness, and extra pigmentation, particularly on the face. Skin rejuvenation is the process of reversing those signs of aging on a person’s skin through medical procedures to result in more youthful-looking skin.
The Different Types of Skin Rejuvenation Procedures
Several different types of procedures are available to rejuvenate a patient’s skin. Intense Pulsed Light, or IPL® for short, reduces pigmentation on the skin, such as sun spots or other hyperpigmentation, with multiple wavelengths of light. Laser Genesis uses a laser to reduce redness, fine lines, large pores, and uneven texture on patients’ skin. Microdermabrasion is a procedure that uses a diamond-tip machine to get rid of a patient’s acne scars, fine lines, sun damage, and large pores. The Clear & Brilliant Fraxel Laser procedure fights skin aging by replacing damaged skin with healthy skin.
